an agentic social intelligence project

Agnition | The simulation and reasoning layer beneath every decision.

What do a hardware startup like Humane AI and 1920s Prohibition laws have in common?

Each began with a confident assumption about how society would respond to a decision — and each proved costly.

Humane AI assumed people were ready to change how they interacted with personal technology through a screenless pin. Prohibition assumed people would stop drinking if alcohol was made illegal. In both cases, decision-makers misread the gap between intention and social response.

This pattern repeats across sectors, from product launches to public policy to investment decisions. Organizations routinely act under uncertainty, pressure, and incomplete information. Data can help explain what happened in the past, but it remains limited in its ability to anticipate how people, markets, and institutions may respond to decisions that have not yet been made.

The results are familiar. Products fail to gain adoption. Policies create unintended outcomes. Investments are made on assumptions that only prove wrong once they meet the complexity of real social response.

Learning from failure through trial and error is, in fact, foundational to an organization’s future success. But every misjudgment consumes precious resources: time, capital, trust, and attention.

What if decisions could be stress-tested before they entered the real world — helping organizations identify assumptions, filter out misjudgments, simulate responses, and understand potential consequences before committing resources?

In other words: previewing the effects before triggering the causes.

We believe the next frontier of intelligence lies in expanding our ability to simulate and reason about their consequences within complex social environments.

Realizing this future requires a new form of social intelligence: one capable of modeling how different audiences, markets, and institutions may respond to technological, economic, cultural, and policy decisions.

Agnition is building multi-agent research workflows that help founders, investors, product teams, and policymakers simulate and reason about the outcomes of their decisions before execution.

By generating real-time, context-specific deep research reports, Agnition is being built to support organizations in anticipating social responses at every stage of decision-making.

Our goal is to help organizations make better decisions by understanding not only what they intend to do, but how society may respond once those decisions enter the world.

When decisions carry real consequences, intuition is not enough. More information coming soon.
